Hi there, I’m Emily (she/her), a queer-identified therapist who supports individuals who have spent their life being told they are “too sensitive.” (Hint: you’re not). As a highly sensitive person (HSP) you might feel overwhelmed by the world and feel like you’re taking it all on. It’s hard to know what is your stuff and what is someone else’s. You want to set boundaries, but you end up taking care of others instead. As a HSP myself I know what it’s like to feel like you’re “too much” or “overly sensitive.” But I also know that it’s possible to see your sensitivity as the strength that it is.
During this time you can ask any questions you might have and I can learn more about what is bringing you to therapy.
We’ll use our first session to talk about your hopes for therapy.
The amount of time a person spends in therapy can vary and depends on your unique hopes and goals.
